About Us

What you need to know about our work

The organisation was founded in 2008 by a group of eight (8) champions who have walked the mental health recovery journey. It was intended to use our life experience and commitment to demonstrate love, care and support to persons and families affected, inspiring hope. We initiated a mutual support group and began reaching out to other affected families voluntarily as need arises using the local resources available with in our community since 2008. We managed to successfully complete official registration as a CBO with the Local Government of Jinja District in February 2016. Reg No JJA/02/2016/00427.
